One small thing...

....at least she left us as peacefully as possible--in her sleep.
Love you, Mom.

Oh Karla, I'm so sorry for your loss... =(

Thanks, Keith.
I thought she was going to live a long long time. But that was before she came down with (probably not the best term) a neurological disease a couple years ago.
I wish they had screenings for that. Maybe take a benchmark measurement for muscles, reflexes, etc, so anomalies can be found before it's too late for treatment.
She was a sweet Mom with a big big heart.

I said goodbye to my mom back in 2002, and my dad in 2007. Funny how at times it sems like a loooong time and at other times it seems just like yesterday -- the pain of loss and missing them so...especially at the holidays.

My thoughts are with you and yours as you grieve her loss and celebratethe wonder of a life well-lived.

I was talking to someone about when they lost their mom today. She said it was more than two years ago and a tear appeared in the corner of her eye.
It's always right there in the corner of our eye, isn't it?
Thank you for your good words.

Thank you, D.
She certainly wasn't perfect, but I loved her very much.
So many gifts she gave me over the years! Chiefly an appreciation for plants and animals and family. Not in that order. :>)
By the way, I haven't told anyone else at work. Holding it close for now.

I won't say anything. That's your choice which I totally support.

Hugs--D
