Cautiously hopeful
It was my turn to take Fran to her PT appointment this afternoon. Therapist Kathy attended a conference this past weekend that was about what Fran may be dealing with. Kathy spoke to the teacher of the class about Fran and the teacher thinks it sounds like she may have scar tissue that has attached itself to her muscle. I'm not sure if that means her muscle wall or ??, but it sounds hopeful. Kathy said that she'll check around to see if she can find a massage therapist that specializes in the deep tissue/friction technique. In the mean time, Kathy is using her new information and trying things out on the girl.

That was one of the two things Ricker said it most likely is. He thinks its either that or a nerve. Will a surgeon please listen to us for once? Maybe if enough medical professionals think its the same thing a surgeon, might, just might think so too!
Sorry if I sound mad but I'm so freakn' sick of the medical professionals that can actually do the work not listening to the other possible theories, specially if the location of her pain shows the problem is in the abdominal wall. I feel like flying over there right now and throwing a tantrum in the middle of Salem Clinic. I don't care if security would pull me away. :-p
Therapist Kathy, thinks it may be possible to use these new techniques she learned about to break the connection between the scar tissue and the muscle.
Your sis still isn't convinced that she wants to go the surgery route. That's the main reason we haven't taken Nair up on his offer.
Well, well...Ugh! Grr! I still think surgery is best for her. The massage is going to hurt and will take a while. I don't want my sissy in more pain than she needs to be. *pouty face*
I know, sissy. I would like her to have the laparospcopy, too. BUT we have to let the girl decide. I do understand her reluctance to have Nair do it. Since he's not "for" it.
