Is the laptop the new fire?
As Fran, N and I sat in the living room chatting and watching the flames and glowing embers in our woodstove last night, it struck me that perhaps computers have become a replacement for fire gazing.
You were smart to leave! Would've hated to leave Fran alone without power. My other entertainment was to call PGE every 30 minutes, to see if there was "an estimated time for power to be restored".

That's what we did in that outage in '08. It was fun. This time, we went to Ram/The Ram.
